WHERE TIMEZONES ARE USED
Reports (Shopify Admin)
Report dates and times are shown in your selected timezone.
Scheduling (Shopify Admin)
Schedule week ranges and shift times are calculated/displayed using the location timezone (if set).
If the location does not have a timezone override, the schedule uses your store preferred timezone.
Staff Portal (browser)
Shift times are shown in the shift’s location timezone (if available).
If no location timezone is available, the portal falls back to your store preferred timezone, then the browser timezone.
SET YOUR STORE PREFERRED TIMEZONE (SHOPIFY ADMIN)
Open POS Time Tracker in Shopify Admin.
Go to Settings.
In the Time Zone section, choose one:
Use Browser Timezone (recommended if managers view reports from the same region)
Select a specific timezone (recommended if you want consistent reporting for everyone)
Click Save in the save bar.
If you choose “Use Browser Timezone”, POS Time Tracker will display times using the timezone of the computer viewing Shopify Admin.
If you choose a specific timezone, everyone viewing Shopify Admin will see times in that timezone.
SET A LOCATION TIMEZONE OVERRIDE (RECOMMENDED FOR SCHEDULING)
If you have locations in multiple timezones, set a timezone override for each location.
Open POS Time Tracker in Shopify Admin.
Go to Locations.
Click a Location ID to open Location Settings.
Set “Timezone Override”.
Result:
Scheduling for that location uses the location timezone.
The staff portal shows that location’s shift times in the location timezone.
